  • Forest Walks

    Walking in the forest is a peaceful, quiet experience that helps reduce stress and promote calmness. The soothing sounds of rustling leaves, birds chirping, and footsteps on the forest floor create a tranquil atmosphere. Surrounded by nature, the mind can clear itself from daily worries. The center is located in a scenic part of Shrewsbury, with local amenities nearby, making it easy to enjoy both nature and convenience while recharging and relieving stress.

  • Cookery

    Working on cooking skills helps people to develop independence, encourages fine motor skills. Working on cookery skills can be very motivating the individual has a product to show at the end of the time and of course they can eat it. The individuals will learn proper planning and preparation skills. Cooking can also help boost your self-esteem. Cooking activities are a great way to express your artistry.

  • Sensory Forest Retreat

    Our Forest Retreat is a calm, dedicated space designed to support relaxation, emotional wellbeing, and self-regulation. Learners can take time away from busy environments to unwind in a safe and peaceful setting. The space is used for guided meditation, sensory stories, and Tac Pac sessions, while also offering opportunities to read, listen to music, or enjoy quiet time. It promotes choice, independence, and supports each learner’s individual needs.

  • Music & Movement

    Harmony Woods is our dedicated music space where creativity comes to life. This vibrant environment gives learners the opportunity to explore sound, rhythm, and expression using instruments such as the drum kit, keyboard, guitar, and more. Whether learners are making music, enjoying group sessions, or simply listening, the space supports confidence, communication, and self-expression while providing a fun and engaging sensory experience tailored to individual interests.

  • Art & Crafts

    Our arts and crafts go above and beyond, giving learners the opportunity to be creative and take pride in their work. Learners create meaningful items such as Mother’s Day wreaths, table decorations, and flower arrangements. They also enjoy making personalised birthday gifts for family and producing handmade products for our Christmas stall. These activities promote creativity, independence, and a strong sense of achievement.

  • Singing & Signing

    Singing and signing is a fun and engaging way for learners to develop communication skills. Learners enjoy choosing their favourite songs and practising signs alongside music, helping to build confidence and expression. This activity supports language development, encourages participation, and promotes inclusion in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. It’s a great way to learn new signs while having fun and connecting with others through music.

  • Work Experience

    At Champions, our in-house work experience promotes independence and essential life skills. Learners take part in meaningful activities such as vehicle maintenance and recycling, helping them develop responsibility, confidence, and practical abilities. These hands-on opportunities support preparation for everyday living and future pathways, while encouraging teamwork, routine, and a strong sense of achievement in a supportive and structured environment.

  • Celebrations

    Celebrations are an important part of our programme, giving learners the opportunity to explore different cultures, history, and beliefs. Through themed activities, events, and shared experiences, learners gain a greater understanding of the world around them. Celebrations encourage inclusion, respect, and curiosity, while also providing fun, engaging opportunities for social interaction, creativity, and learning in a supportive and welcoming environment.

    Shopping activities support learners to build independence and essential daily living skills. Learners use visual shopping lists, practise money handling, locate items in stores, and pack their purchases. Shopping may involve buying resources for activities, ingredients for cookery sessions, or choosing gifts for family birthdays. These experiences develop confidence, decision-making, and social skills, helping learners navigate real-life situations in a practical and meaningful way.

  • Day Trips

    Day trips are an important part of what we offer, giving learners the opportunity to explore a wide range of places, cities, and communities.
